1. Introduction

Welcome to Iloveblogs.blog (“we”, “us”, “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit https://www.iloveblogs.blog (the “Site”). By using the Site you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please discontinue use.

We publish this page in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and Google’s publisher policies (including AdSense program policies). 2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Usage data — pages viewed, time on page, referrer, browser type, language, viewport size.
Device data — IP address (truncated where possible), operating system, device class (mobile/tablet/desktop), user agent.
Cookies and tracking technologies — first-party and third-party cookies, local storage, session storage, web beacons.
Email address — only if you subscribe to our newsletter or contact us by email.
Voluntary submissions — anything you send us through forms, email, or social DMs.

2.1 The error search box (“Still stuck? Paste your error”)

The box at the end of our articles matches an error message you paste against the fixes and tools on this site. The matching itself happens in your browser. When you press “Find the fix”, your browser first removes anything that looks personal or secret — e-mail addresses, IP addresses, usernames in file paths, keys, tokens, passwords, connection strings and long random identifiers. If something still looks like a secret after that, nothing is sent at all.

Otherwise we receive and store:

the cleaned error signature (never the text you pasted);
which of our pages or tools matched, if any, and how confidently;
the page you were on, the length of what you pasted, and the version of our matching software;
if you then click a suggested result, which result was clicked for that search.

We do not store the raw text, your IP address, your e-mail address, your full browser user agent or any cookie with it, and a submission is not linked to you.

To limit automated abuse, we count submissions per day using a keyed hash of your IP address and the date. That hash is pseudonymous data: it is used only for that count, never linked to a submission, and deleted after 48 hours.

Why: to find the errors our readers hit that we do not cover yet, so we can research and write fixes for them. We rely on our legitimate interest in improving the Site; using the box is optional. Records are kept for 90 days; after that only counts per error signature remain, and the signature text itself is deleted unless we have reviewed it and confirmed it contains no personal data. The data is stored in Cloudflare D1 with a Western Europe location. Because a record cannot be linked to you, we usually cannot find “your” record, but you can still contact us at contact@iloveblogs.blog.

2.2 Editorial outreach (if we e-mailed you about your website)

We sometimes write once to the editor of a website to suggest one of our pages as a resource for a specific article. For that we keep: the website, the name and the work e-mail address the site itself publishes for editorial contact, the public page where we found that address, the article concerned, our message and your reply. We do not buy, rent or scrape address lists, and we never add you to our newsletter.

Why: our legitimate interest in proposing relevant resources to editors of related websites (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). You can object at any time by replying “unsubscribe” or writing to contact@iloveblogs.blog: we stop at once and keep only your address and domain on a do-not-contact list, so that you are never written to again. We send at most one short follow-up. Records are kept for 24 months after the last message; the do-not-contact entry is kept for as long as it is needed to honour your objection.

3. Cookies

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device. We use both first-party cookies (set by our domain) and third-party cookies (set by the services listed in §5).

Cookie categories we use:

Strictly necessary — required for the site to function (e.g. session, security).
Analytics — measure traffic and usage patterns.
Advertising — select and personalise ads, limit frequency, measure performance, build profiles.

You can disable cookies via your browser settings. Rejecting advertising in our ad & cookie preferences prevents the Adsterra code from loading. See §7 for opt-out options.

4. Web beacons and tracking pixels

We (and the third parties listed in §5) use web beacons (also called tracking pixels, clear GIFs, or pixel tags). These are tiny — usually 1×1 pixel — graphics embedded in pages or emails that load when you view them, letting the operator read or set cookies and log your visit (IP, user agent, timestamp, page URL).

Web beacons are used for the same purposes described under “Cookies” above. They are also used by email-sender infrastructure to detect opens and clicks.

5. Advertising & third-party ad serving

Display advertising is served by Adsterra. The Adsterra code loads by default (opt-out model); the in-article banner loads when its placement approaches the viewport. Browsers that send Global Privacy Control do not load it.

Adsterra may use cookies and collect technical data, including your IP address, browser information and location, to deliver and measure advertising. Its processing is described in its Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy. Each article can show Adsterra display banners (728 × 90, 300 × 250, 160 × 600, and a dismissible 320 × 50 bar on mobile), a native ad block and a social bar. Opting out removes these embeds; cookies already stored by a vendor can be cleared in your browser.

Analytics services active on the Site are:

Google Tag Manager — loads and orchestrates the tags listed here.
Google Analytics — traffic and behaviour analytics.
Cloudflare Web Analytics — privacy-first traffic analytics (no cookies, no personal data, server-side aggregation).
Ahrefs Web Analytics — cookieless traffic analytics: it sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device, so, like Cloudflare Web Analytics, it runs regardless of your ad & cookie preferences.

Google AdSense (publisher ID pub-5531968677301948) is declared in /ads.txt for account verification but does not serve ads on the site at this time. Adsterra is the advertising provider used for the banners described above.

The footer also contains an optional Adsterra Smartlink labelled “Advertisement” and “View sponsored offer”, hidden if you opt out of advertising. Choosing it opens an advertiser’s page in a new tab; Adsterra selects the destination, which can vary. The link itself makes no request to Adsterra until you click it. Once opened, Adsterra and the advertiser may process device data and use cookies under their own policies.

These vendors are independent data controllers for the data they collect. Their use of your data is governed by their own privacy policies. The Site does not block any of these vendor user-agents in /robots.txt; if you want to block specific vendors, use the opt-out links in §7.

6. Affiliate links

Iloveblogs.blog does not currently participate in any affiliate programme. Editorial resource links in our articles earn no commission. The separately labelled Adsterra sponsored offer link can earn advertising revenue as described in §5. If we join an affiliate programme, affiliate links will be disclosed here and tagged transparently before any go live; see our Editorial Policy and Affiliate Disclosure.

7. Your choices & opt-out

You can control or opt out of the data we and our partners collect:

Stop Adsterra advertising — open “Ad & cookie preferences” in the footer and choose “Reject non-essential” or “Analytics only”. Adsterra banners, native and social-bar ads and the sponsored offer link are removed. This does not close an advertiser’s page you have already opened.
Disable personalised Google ads — adssettings.google.com.
Industry-wide opt-out — optout.aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.eu (European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance).
Browser-level controls — disable cookies, enable “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” in your browser.
Google Analytics opt-out — browser add-on.
Email unsubscribe — every newsletter we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

8. GDPR — rights for users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the GDPR (or its local equivalent) gives you the right to:

Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Erasure (“right to be forgotten”) — request deletion of your data.
Restriction of processing — limit how we process your data.
Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Object — object to processing based on legitimate interest or for direct marketing.
Withdraw consent — at any time, without retroactive effect.
Lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in France: the CNIL).

Legal bases — analytics and advertising cookies are enabled by default and can be refused at any time from the footer (opt-out); we rely on (a) consent for the newsletter, and (b) legitimate interest for security logging, abuse prevention, aggregate, cookieless audience measurement (Cloudflare and Ahrefs Web Analytics), and one-to-one editorial outreach to website editors (see 2.2).

International transfers — some vendors listed in §5 are based in the United States. Where required, transfers are covered by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

9. CCPA / CPRA — rights for California residents

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

Know what categories of personal information we collect and disclose (see §2 and §5).
Request access to and deletion of your personal information.
Correct inaccurate personal information.
Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — the Site does not sell personal information. “Sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising may occur via the advertising cookies listed in §5; you can opt out at any time by emailing contact@iloveblogs.blog with subject “Do Not Sell or Share” or by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser.
Non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

Categories collected (per CCPA): identifiers (IP, cookie IDs), commercial information (ad interactions), internet activity (pages visited), geolocation (country), inferences (ad relevance). Categories sold or shared: identifiers, commercial information, internet activity, geolocation, inferences — via the advertising partners in §5.

10. Children’s privacy (COPPA)

The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact contact@iloveblogs.blog and we will delete it within a reasonable timeframe.

11. Data retention

We retain data for the following periods (or until you ask us to delete it):

Google Analytics cookies: up to 14 months (Google default).
Server logs (Cloudflare): up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention.
Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe.
Error search box: individual records 90 days, abuse-limit hashes 48 hours (see 2.1).
Email correspondence: up to 24 months.
Editorial outreach records: 24 months after the last message; do-not-contact entries as long as needed (see 2.2).

12. Security

We use TLS (HTTPS) for all traffic, restrict access to administrative endpoints, and minimise the personal data we collect. No security measure is perfect; if you discover a vulnerability, please email contact@iloveblogs.blog with subject “Security”.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will always reflect when it last changed. Material changes will be announced on the Site or via email (for subscribers) at least 14 days before they take effect.
